Empower women in the slums of Kenya
Join the volunteering team of an organization in Kenya that dedicates their services to children and women in education, medical, and launching their small businesses. In this specific experience, you will be helping local women create and grow different varieties of businesses, from selling local, like local produces and handmade fashion items.
You will be hosted at a community based organization (CBO) founded in March 2015, currently located in Mathare slum.
The organization's focus is to empower women and children through education support, medical coaching, business workshops, and more. Until this day, they have sponsored 86 kids in all level of education, provided loans to 19 women, and counselled more than 100 people in the community.
