Disrupt the Portuguese Student Housing Market

A few years ago, Pedro Gancho founded Inlife, a platform that helps students find accommodations in Portugal.
He came up with the idea after coming back from semester abroad in Canada, and realized how hard it was to look for housing as an exchange student. In Montreal, he witnessed a local van was driving students around to visit different accommodation options in the city, and Inlife was born. A housing platform aimed at students, with in-person trips and live call visits to provide better transparency and satisfaction.
Overview
The startup believes that the current options available to find an accommodation, based only on photos, some recorded videos and descriptions of the houses are not the best in terms of expectations management and overall satisfaction, often leading to poor decisions and doubtful house rentals, which later on will generate disappointment with the option booked.

So they came up with two truly innovative services: the housing trip and personalized advisor. With such services, their aim is to increase the safety and overall satisfaction of their students and reduce the risk and headaches for the landlords.
The platform is already live in Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra and Ever, which are the biggest student cities in Portugal. In addition, by partnering with top local universities and government agencies, they are planning to expand even bigger, and they need your help! Pedro the CEO, is inviting students and young professionals to come join his company on short term-internships in various positions available throughout the year.
